I have used to to charge SONY batteries as well as other brands. I would recommend this charger to anyone in need of a high quality charger. This is a great battery charger. It charges AA and AAA with no problems.
This device is great and also charges fast. Not much to say about it other then it does what its suppose to do.
Like the way the power pins on the back fold flat for storage / transportation. Just leave the door open when charging to prevent overheating batteries which is alleged to shorten their life. Charger design is very neat and easy to use. Good for top up of partially depleted batteries.
The batteries are terrible. This was at the end of November. What a waste of money. I recently purchased a Canon a720is digital camera. I also purchased the Sony Quick Battery Charger with 4 batteries and purchased an additional 4 batteries based on the good reviews. Supposedly with a full charge, they last about 10 minutes in my camera.
I would definitely recommend this product. I quite enjoy the slim nature of the charger too, as it fits nicely in my camera bag. During the charge process the batteries do become a bit hot, but most battery chargers have this affect on rechargeables. I usually charge the batteries overnight, and the charger turns itself off when it has completed the charge. I bought this battery charger for the flash on my scuba diving camera. I have used this charger in roughly 6 different Caribbean countries over the past 3 years and haven't had a problem yet. There is no extra cords or adapters to worry about.
